Feile Report U.14 Div 7

Div 7 girls were drawn against Stars of Erin, Naomh Mearnog and Oliver Plunketts. Despite a breakdown (in the vicinity of the Port Tunnel) we all arrived at Naomh Mearnog in Portmarnock in plenty of time for our first throw-in against Stars of Erin. Trailing at half time, our 02 and 03 girls quickly gelled showing huge desire and commitment earning a well deserved 2 point victory.

Next up were Oliver Plunketts who had had a very strong win against us in the previous championship campaign. Our girls started very strong with some brave defending. With conditions worsening for both sides Oliver Plunketts earned a hard fought victory.

Last up was our hosts, Naomh Mearnog. We were a little surprised to see them in our division. The day was capped by some magnificent individual displays. It was clear the girls were growing in confidence. Naomh Mearnog the eventual Division 7 Feile winners earned a comfortable victory.

The girls gave everything and left nothing behind in what was a truly memorable experience which will stand to them over the coming years.
