Cuala’s second adult hurling team beat Ballinteer St Johns in O’Toole Park on Sunday to claim the Junior B Championship title and secure promotion to the Junior A Championship for 2012. Cuala opted to play with the wind in the first half and lead at half time on a scoreline of 0-6 to 0-1. In the second half Cuala pushed on as Ballinteer failed to make use of the wind advantage with Cuala finishing out winners on a scoreline of 0-11 to 0-4 points.
Cuala’s John Hennessy on behalf of the Dublin County Board presented the cup to captain Colman Ó Drisceoil who gave a great speech as gaeilge.
Congratulations to Shay Hayes and Brendan Spillane and all who have helped out throughout the year on yet another success for Cuala.
