Hello Cuala Patrons

January nearly over and the National League about to start – 2013 is up and running  :

  • Well done to the Hurlers who won the 2012 Minor Hurling League Division 1 in tough conditions last Sunday. Terrible conditions but good game. Our boys were deserving winners by 3 points. Nice trophy to have. Well done to all invovled.
  • Good luck to the U14s traveling to the Mick O’Brien tournament in Nemo Rangers this coming weekend. A happy hunting ground for Cuala over the years. Oh how I remember the tight games,  great victories, friendships made and lack of sleep. Good luck lads.
  • Gaelic for Mothers and Others will be resuming training 1st week of March, the aim is to provide mums and friends an opportunity to play Ladies Gaelic Football in a fun, non-competitive, social environment. As well as keeping fit and having a laugh, new members are very welcome, no experience necessary and no need to be a mum either !  For further information please contact Frances Burns on 087 9942389 or email burnsgahan@gmail.com
  • CCC2 leagues starts on Saturday – U16s are at home in Shankill to Fingallians. But pitch closures are likely due to weather so check before you travel.
  • Minors are running Last Man Standing competition as fund-raiser. Last call.  If anyone interested please reply to Cualacomms@gmail.com and will send you forms.
  • The Adult section will be hosting a ‘Take me out’ themed evening on February 23rd so mark that date in the diary if you fancy a good evening with a few laughs.
  • The Annual Awards night will be held on February 16th. Don’t have all the details yet but will be coming at you pretty soon!
  • Club renovations are nearly there. One more week should see the Hall floor varnished and ready for the Dancers . Watch this space.

All for this week.
