Cuala Bualadh

June 29th, Cuala GAA U13 girls were proud to host their second annual Cuala Bualadh -a joyous celebration of our U13 girls’ Gaelic football teams and the wider Gaelic games community. The event welcomed teams from across the country, including Kildare, Wicklow, Limerick, Derry, and Dublin, bringing together players, coaches, parents, and supporters for a day of spirited competition and camaraderie.

The Cuala Bualadh is about much more than just matches. It’s a showcase of the values at the heart of Cuala—teamwork, respect, inclusion, and a deep love for the game. The progress made by our girls this year was on full display, and we couldn’t be prouder of their dedication and development.

We extend a heartfelt thank you to all visiting teams for joining us and contributing to the vibrant energy of the day. Their participation brought great spirit to the pitch, and helped create unforgettable memories for everyone involved.

A special word of thanks to Emer O Sullivan and Ali Dinniss and to all the parents and supporters, whose encouragement and positivity play such a vital role in our players’ experiences. Finally to the players themselves—thank you for playing with passion, for supporting one another, and for showing the true spirit of Gaelic games.
To everyone who helped make Cuala Bualadh 2025 such a success, go raibh míle maith agaibh.

Regional Camogie Féile Finals

Following their Dublin Division 2 Féile victory, the 2010 Red Camogie team travelled to Clare this past weekend to represent both Cuala and Dublin in the All-Ireland B Féile Finals.

Under blistering sun, the girls faced top teams from across the country: Truagh Clonlara (Clare), Mallow (Cork), and Ballybrown (Limerick). Their opening game was a tough encounter, finishing in a hard-earned draw with hosts Truagh Clonlara, a result that set the tone for a day of intense camogie. The Cuala girls rallied with spirited performances in their remaining group games to secure a well deserved place in the Shield Final.

In a repeat of their opening match, they met Truagh Clonlara once again. Cuala took an early lead and were ahead at half-time, but the home side mounted a second half comeback to edge out a win in a tightly contested final.

Though they narrowly missed out on silverware, the 2010 Red team played with heart, skill, and unity throughout. They represented their club and county with pride, wearing the red of Cuala with distinction.

All Ireland B Camogie Féile

The 2010 Camogie Red team, having won the Dublin Division 2 Féile, have been invited to play in the All Ireland B John West Féile competition in Clare this Saturday. We are very proud of all the 2010 girls and wish the Red team the best of luck this weekend as they represent the county in the finals.

Find out more about the John West Féile na nGael competition and the finals here.

Camán to Croker

Cuala’s U12 Girls took part in Camán to Croker at Croke Park on Monday, May 5th. The annual Allianz Camán to Croker event is a celebration of camogie, this year bringing together 64 clubs and over 1,500 players from across the country for a fun-filled blitz. The girls had the unforgettable experience of using the players’ dressing room, running through the players tunnel, and stepping out onto the pitch. They played brilliantly—scoring in Croke Park is now a proud new claim to fame for many of them!

Cuala and U16 Dublin Camogie All Ireland Final

Congratulations to Cuala’s Iris McMahon who won the U16B All Ireland Camogie Cup Final with her Dublin teammates after beating Limerick in the final on Sunday.

Camogie Féile

Our Cuala U15 camogie teams displayed incredible performances at a sunny Abbotstown for Féile last weekend. All three teams made it to the semi-final on Saturday, with the navy team fighting a tough battle against St. Pat’s Palmerstown, who ultimately clinched the place in their division final. The red and white team both progressed to the Sunday finals beating Naomh Olaf and Lucan Sarsfields to take the Div2 and Div 6 titles. An incredible achievement to win two of the 10 Dublin divisions. Congratulations to all three teams for a fantastic Féile camogie campaign.

With thanks to Maciek Surmacz for the photos.

U11 Girls meet Brisbane Lions Stars

Our U11 girls experienced a real treat at their GoGames matches last weekend, when Cuala’s Jennifer Dunne and her Brisbane Lions teammate Dakota Davidson came along to support the Cuala girls in their football, staying around afterwards to chat about their careers and take questions from the girls.

Jennifer as we proudly know has multiple All Ireland football medals for Dublin to her name, and is the only athlete to have won an All Ireland title and the AFLW title in the same year. Dakota is the main forward for Brisbane Lions, one of Australia’s leading AFLW teams. With two AFLW titles in 2021 and 2023, she was selected for the AFLW All-Australian All Star team in 2023 and was twice Brisbane’s leading goalkicker.

Jennifer and Dakota spoke and answered questions on their path to success, training schedules, differences in weather, female athletes who have inspired them, injuries and more.

A huge thanks to both Jennifer and Dakota for coming along to inspire the next generation of Cuala (and possibly Dublin or Brisbane Lions!) players.

U11 Boys Jersey Presentation

The U11 boys were presented with their new jerseys by senior players Tom Magee, Cal Doran, Charlie McMorrow, Cillian Dunne and Michael Fitzsimons at their training session on Monday evening. Needless to say, there was great excitement.
A big thank you to the sponsors Warbble Digital and LetsGetChecked. And of course, thank you to the senior players who took time from their busy schedules to help with the presentation.
