All Stars County Féile

Two members of Cuala All-Stars, Emily Chambers and Theo Lynch, were delighted to participate recently in Dublin GAA’s first All-Stars County Féíle. The event was run in partnership with the charity Variety Ireland and its aim was to ensure that people with additional needs are represented and included in the world of GAA sports.

The event was generously hosted by Whitehall Colmcille GAA club, and saw All Star members and their families from over 30 GAA clubs across Dublin coming together for an afternoon of sport, fun and inclusion. Importantly the event ensured that those who were unable to participate in on-field sport had an opportunity to take part in off-field activities.

Much to the delight of participants and their families, stars of Dublin GAA’s men’s and ladies’ football, camogie and hurling teams came along to meet the All-Stars. A particular highlight for some was meeting members of the current All Ireland Senior Ladies Football team, including our own Jess Tobin and Rachel Hartnett (pictured above), who brought along the Brendan Martin Cup to show to the All Stars and their families.

Well done to all involved!

All Stars Lead the Way to Croke Park

Our Cuala All Star team were front and centre of our procession on Saturday as they led Cuala supporters to the DART station before making the journey to Croke Park by bus to cheer on the team. A huge thank you to the Health Services Staff Credit Union who sponsored the bus transport for the day.

Cuala All Stars Welcome Players at Parnell Park

We are so proud that a group of our very own Cuala All Stars took part in the SFC pre-match warm-up, forming a tunnel to welcome the Cuala and Kilmacud players on to the pitch at Parnell Park.  They were joined by All Stars from Kilmacud Crokes, Na Fianna and Raheny. A shout out to Health Services Staffs Credit Union who arranged for transport to and from the stadium for the All Stars and their families, and to Country Bake in Dalkey for a lovely tray of buns and cookie. It was a great day out for all involved!
