Drug Awareness Talk

We would like to invite players over 14, their parents and guardians to a Drug Awareness talk with Conor Harris, on Tuesday 22nd October at 7.30pm in the Cuala Hall.

Conor Harris is from Kildare, and was a talented footballer in his youth and a minor medal winner with Lily Whites. After taking the wrong path on drugs, he turned his life around to become a counsellor trained in drug rehabilitation and gives regular talks around the country.

Conor will provide a unique insight into the dangers and challenges of potential drug use in teenagers and young adults. His message is one of hope and resilience and he will provide some well-founded advice on the impact of drug abuse on mental health and general well being. He will also share the critical message of how to refrain from peer pressure and how to feel comfortable in reaching out to peer groups, coaches or parents for support or intervention.
