Community Collaboration Award Winner – Cuala SSIP

The Cuala Sports and Social Integration Project is thrilled to have been recognised with the Community Collaboration Award by Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council. The club would like to congratulate and sincerely thank Damien Byrne, as well as the steering committee for their dedication to this project of which we are immensely proud.
In announcing the award DLR CoCo said:
Community Collaboration- Winner
This club’s Social Integration Project is an outstanding example of the power of community collaboration. Working in partnership with organisations including DDLETB, the dlr Local Authority Integration Team, Dún Laoghaire Rathdown Outreach Project, Community Gardaí and Youth Services, the project provides a wide range of opportunities to those who may be at risk of social isolation.
Through football tournaments, match-day experiences, hikes, programmes and community events, the project creates meaningful connections, encouraging a strong sense of belonging.
While promoting participation in GAA, it also encourages positive lifestyles, resilience, inclusion and personal development.
The success of this initiative demonstrates how partnerships can break down barriers, build understanding and strengthen communities for everyone involved.
