Cuala Membership Subscriptions / Faoi Bhallraíochta

Annual Membership Subscriptions are a vital source of funds for our club, with all of our subscription types contributing towards a wide range of services and activities both on and off the pitch. For full club funding, we also rely on the generosity of fundraising and sponsorship for which we are very grateful.

Membership Information / Eolas Ballraíochta

Cuala’s membership year runs from January to December with annual subscriptions falling due on 1st January.

Payment can be made online using our payment partner ClubForce.

Family Membership
Parents of children who avail of Family Membership become full members of the club. If they wish to play either Social sports (Cuala for Mothers & Others / Hurling for Dads), or train and play for the adult football, camogie or hurling teams they can be included in Family membership as players. All other players availing of Family membership must be in full time education. Players born in or prior to 2005 can be included providing that player is in full time education at the time of registration. As our Family Membership Fee structure does not currently cater for one parent and one/two etc children options, for those who fall into this category please email registrar@cualagaa.ie and a pro-rata discount code will be provided.

Student Membership
Members availing of Student Rates (whether Individually or as part of a Family Subscription) must be a full-time student in full-time education.

Juvenile Subscription Rates
Available to those born between 1/1/2006 and 31/12/2014. An accompanying Adult (Parent/Guardian etc) is registered at no additional charge and automatically becomes a Social Member of Cuala. If an accompanying adult intends to undertake a coaching or administrative role in the club at juvenile level or older, full membership of Cuala is required.

Academy Subscription Rates
Available to those born between 1/1/2015 and 31/12/2019. Children born earlier should contact the Academy in Cuala to discuss joining the Academy. Accompanying Adult (Parent/Guardian etc) is registered at no additional charge and automatically becomes a Social Member of Cuala.

A full list of subscription rates are on ClubForce. At the Club AGM in November 2023, an increase of 7.5% to 2023 rates was proposed by members and passed which is reflected in 2024 rates.

The Development Levy was put in place following a motion approved at the 2019 Club AGM and this policy will continue in 2024. All funds collected from the development levy are ring-fenced for vital development purposes and are not used for day-to-day expenditure or any other purpose. The development levy ranges in value from €10, €30 or €50 depending on subscription type and is applied at the time of the member joining or renewing membership.

Subscription payment for new and renewing members can, when membership opens, be made in five instalments. Four instalments are available from February and three from March. Thereafter payment must be paid in full until membership opens again for the following year.

Players cannot be registered with the National Governing Associations (GAA, LGFA, Camogie Assocation) until their subscriptions are paid. Unregistered members are not covered by ‘Player Injury Schemes’ and Cuala will not allow them to coach, train with or play for the club.

Members are responsible for entering and maintaining their own details correctly and completely. Of particular importance is the need to provide accurate details in relation to the Player Injury Scheme – especially Date of Birth and that the member is registered under the correct subscription type.

Money tendered by anyone who is not already a member of the club will be accepted and treated as a donation – pending their Application for Membership being processed. On admission as a Member, any sums previously paid will be credited against Annual Subscription due.

Payment of membership subscriptions is subject to:
