Thank You

A Thank You from Men’s Football Section

We are so proud of our wonderful team that, on Sunday last, achieved the pinnacle in GAA Club Football by being crowned:

AIB GAA All Ireland Club Football Champions 2024/25.

But this could not have happened without the unbelievable support and work going on behind the scenes. So, on behalf of the entire Cuala Football Section a massive acknowledgement and thank you to so many.

First and foremost, to our members and supporters, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for your incredible support throughout the campaign and help us make history. The scale of the support was massive and so positively commented on in the media. You brought so much vocal support and colour to each and every match. The effort and dedication made all the difference, and we truly could not have achieved what we did without you. A credit to the club.

To the club Coiste and so many club volunteers, from all sections, who volunteered a helping hand to ensure we were always organised and left no stone unturned to prepare for matches, get to matches and celebrate the succession of wins along the way. The timing of matches often meant the window to get everything prepared was just days instead of weeks, but that pressure saw everyone raise their game.

A big thank you to the local community who expressed their support with good luck messages and congratulatory wishes. Cuala is a great community club, and it is on occasions like this that we come to appreciate it. And on that note special mention for the team of volunteers who ensured the locality was well kitted in club colours, flags and bunting. The wider Cuala locality was a sea of red and white.

To our sponsors and others who contributed financial support a word of appreciation. Success requires resources and this year, going all the way, meant it was more than the usual. Hopefully, you all share in and benefit from the success. Thank you.

To so many other GAA clubs who sent good luck and congratulation messages. we appreciate your camaraderie and sportsmanship. It is a reminder of the strength of the GAA family, and we are proud to be part of it.

Trying to avoid mentioning specific names because that only gets us into trouble as the list is so extensive the risk of missing out on someone could be embarrassing. But indulge us with a small few exceptions. Hilary and Linda, thank you for coordinating so much of the event organisation around Hyde Road and the clubhouse, which was a buzz before and after matches, particularly the homecoming(s). Paddy Murdock and Cillian Cronin, your efforts in organisation skills and coordination of getting supporters to the games deserves to be applauded. The fleet of DARTs, trains and buses ensured we maximised our support at matches and made it so much fun at the same time. The widely commented on DART story will for ever be part of Cuala folklore, even referred to by Uachtarán Chumann Lúthchleas Gael, Jarlath Burns, in his presentation speech on Sunday.

It’s this kind of teamwork – both on and off the field – that makes Cuala so special. We’re so grateful to have such an amazing network of supporters, volunteers, sponsors, and fellow GAA clubs to rely on.

Thank you once again to everyone who made this season so memorable. Your support means the world to us, and we look forward to seeing you all at future games.

CUALA ARE ALL-IRELAND FOOTBALL CHAMPIONS! 🏆🎉

The 2024/25 season will forever be remembered as the year that Cuala claimed the Dublin, Leinster, and All-Ireland titles—all for the first time in our club’s history. This makes Cuala one of only two clubs in the history of the GAA to have All-Ireland titles in both Hurling and Football.

This amazing achievement takes a huge effort, a heartfelt thank you and congratulations to the players, coaches, committee members, donors, and fans whose dedication and support made this incredible achievement possible. 🙌🏻
