Herbie Hughes Masters Tournament

Cuala were invited to compete in the Herbie Hughes Masters tournament in St Brigids club last weekend. Don’t dare mention veterans as it was all action, skills and spills on the pitch.

• First up was St Margarets who we beat 0-9 to 1-5 with Donal Lehmann getting the winning point in the last play of the game.
• Next up was St Jude’s who beat us 0-8 to 0-4.
• We beat the home club St Brigids and St Anne’s resulting in 3 teams on 6 points but safely through to the knockout stages.
• In the semi-Final we lost to St Margaret’s 0-10 to 0-9 with the winning score coming in the final play.

Unlucky not to make it to the final but a fantastic day had by all and our invite confirmed for next year.
