Congratulations to the Dublin Senior Women’s Football Team, and especially our Cuala players Jess Tobin, Martha Byrne and Rachel Hartnett, who regained the TG4 All-Ireland senior football championship title with a commanding triumph over Leinster rivals Meath on Sunday. With a final score of 2-16 to 0-10, the Dublin players comfortably secured their second All-Ireland success in three years and seventh in history.

Perhaps a small contributor to their success was the circa 300 Cuala supporters who made their way to Croke Park on the DART that was chartered by Cuala and neighbouring clubs Kilmacud Crokes and Foxrock Cabinteely GAA for the occasion.

The All-Ireland Final day buzz started in Dalkey as supporters gathered for the train, collecting Kilmacud Crokes and other supporters in Blackrock before collectively disembarking in Connolly for the walk to Croke Park. Supporters were not disappointed as they cheered their club and county players to All-Ireland victory. Read the full match report over on www.dublingaa.ie.

A homecoming has been scheduled for Tuesday 5th August in Smithfield Square at 6pm, with music, face painting and of course the team with the Brendan Martin Cup!
