Cuala are very sad to hear of PJ’s passing over the weekend, after a long illness. The ‘Red Lad’ as he was affectionally known among his fellow team mates was a passionate hurling man and a privilege to hurl with on the field of play – always brave till the final whistle. Just as he was on the pitch so he was in life ………..till the final whistle blew.

PJ, predeceased by his parents Josie and Tom, brother Michael and sister Margaret. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Bernie, children Tommy, Rachel, Karen and Sue also their mother Alexis, son-in-law Paul, daughter-in-law Niamh, his 9 grandsons, siblings Vinny, Helen and Jo, nieces, nephews, mother-in-law Mrs. Ryan, relatives and a wide circle of friends, especially all of his friends at Cuala GAA Club, Dalkey.

You were a great Cuala man that gave everything in the red & white jersey , led with your heart, and left us with memories we will always carry. Rest in peace PJ.
