Six Nations Fundraiser

The Men’s Football Section 2025 Six Nations Fundraiser was another fantastic success, bringing excitement and competition to the club. Focused on the Men’s Six Nations Rugby Championship, the event challenged participants to test their rugby knowledge by predicting match outcomes, with points awarded for accuracy.

After six thrilling weeks, 3rds gaffer Greg Clarke claimed victory, narrowly edging out Football Chairman Pat Dolphin. Both finished on 13 points, but Greg’s tie-break prediction of 89 was closest to the actual 101 tries scored in the tournament, securing him the top spot. Ciara Cronin and Peadar Ó Cofaigh followed closely with 12 points, while Peter Newman, Andy O’Brien, and several others finished just behind on 11 points.

A special shoutout to Dave Kennedy for his IT solutions, ensuring the competition ran seamlessly, and to Peter Jackson for his Excel expertise in managing the leaderboard and results.

Beyond the fun and friendly rivalry, the fundraiser played a vital role in supporting Cuala’s Men’s Football Section. A huge thank you to everyone who took part—your contributions help keep the club thriving both on and off the pitch!
