This weekend is another historic milestone for Cuala GAA Club.
For the first time in the clubs history, three men’s adult football teams will be competing in county finals.
It wasn’t very long ago that Cuala were struggling to field three teams. This year, five teams were entered, with all five reaching the quarter finals.
This Saturday, our senior team take on Templeogue Synge St in the Senior B final at O’Toole Park. (throw in 2:30pm)
Strangely, our senior team are the reigning Senior B champions, but with no promotion in 2020 due to Covid-19, Paul Curran’s team have one more game to claim back to back titles.
On Sunday morning, our second team take on Na Fianna in the intermediate final at Inisfails GAA Club, at 11am. Their semi-final win away to Kilmacud Crokes was the standout performance of the season. Not so long ago, our second adult football team beat St. Monica’s in Parnell Park in the Junior A final. Reaching this final shows how far the men’s adult football section have come in a short space of time.
Our third team are also in county final action on Sunday. They take on Round Towers Clondalkin at Monastery Road in Clondalkin. (throw in 1:30pm)
The third team were promoted to this Championship in 2018, and with most of that squad, they will fight to reach the Junior 1 championship on Sunday.
All of our teams would appreciate your support this historic weekend.
