Under 16A footballers had a tremendous victory last night on a 1.9 to 0.8 scoreline over a Raheny side that demolished them in the championship just 2 short months ago by 5.11 to 2.7. Jack Flynn scored the all important goal in the first half and Raheny were chasing the game after that. Our defence held firm throughout and never looked like conceding a goal. Special mention must be made of James Bailey who accepted the challenge of playing in goals when our usual keeper Ryan de Felice withdrew through injury just before throw in. James played with great confidence and looks like he might have found his niche!

The result means the team goes into Saturday’s Shield Final v Fingallians on a high. If anyone is looking for a match to go to on Saturday Lawless Park in Swords is the place to go. 3.30pm throw in. All support welcome.
