To Adrian Dunne, Cathaoirleach and all members of Cuala GAA club,
There are simply no words to express our heartfelt thanks for the sympathy and support you have extended to our family during the time John was ill and also the days following his passing.
We are deeply grateful for all the texts, videos, visits and well wishes when John was in hospital, these not only boosted us but also John on what were some extremely hard days for us.
Cuala was a huge part of John’s life, the tributes to him over the days of his funeral especially the beautiful wreath, the guard of honour and Oisin Gough dedicating the Seniors win on Saturday 29th to John is something we as a family will treasure forever.
Thank you so much, it is a privilege to be a part of the Cuala family and as John used to say
‘it’s not what you have in your pocket that makes you a great man, it’s what you have in your heart’
