What a wonderful weekend to be a member of Cuala – Our huge congratulations to the Senior Footballers who won the Dublin Senior B Football Championship yesterday against Thomas Davis – And to the Senior Hurling Team on winning their Semi Final in the Leinster Club Hurling Championship.

As we continue to achieve amazing success on the pitch, Cuala’s continued expansion has made way for the club to invest in a Club Manager role.

We wish to thank everyone for their recent interest and applications received for the post of Club Manager as advertised.  This ‘administrative heavy’ role is currently carried out by a wide range of club members and coaches.  To improve the smooth running of the club and ensure these experts can concentrate on their core duties, it is important to centralise these tasks as well as building on the expanding fundraising and event management areas.

The role of the Club Manager is to oversee the day to day operations of the club and support, coordinate with and collaborate with the sections and team managers.  Core responsibilities of the role include, bookkeeping, hall rental, co-ordinate GAA admin, Cuala bar management, pitch allocations, fundraising, stock management, memberships, database management, stakeholder liaison, DLRCC etc.,

Applications were received, and a 5 person panel interview process took place over the weekend.  We are delighted to announce that Lorraine Hayes was the successful candidate, and congratulate Lorraine as she embarks on the challenges ahead.  She has been appointed on a 6 month contract . Lorraine will report to the Deputy Chairman of the club.

Some of you will already know Lorraine as she fulfils many volunteer and mentoring roles in the Juvenile Section – She assures us she has no plan to give any of these up in the short term!  Please do join with us in congratulating her and wishing her well.
