Just like the buses – none for ages and then two come at once.  This weekend, it’s the Senior Footballers turn so don’t put those banners away just yet !

As a strong dual club we need everybody involved with Cuala to get behind our lads in the Intermediate Football Championship and travel to Chanel Park Coolock for a 4.00 pm throw-in.  (Note the change of time & venue;  Parnell Park is unplayable).

Thanks to the great work by our juvenile section in hurling and football over the last 10 years, we have no fewer than 9 players who starred on Sunday also involved this coming weekend.  Whilst we are all still hurting from last week’s result, hopefully we’ll all be smiling again come Saturday night.

This is the Senior Footballers third Intermediate Final in a row and last year they came so close to retaining Senior Championship status beaten only by a free in the fifth minute of injury time.

We’ve witnessed some amazing achievements with some of our Senior Footballers in recent months. 3 members of the our  Senior Football Panel have won All Ireland Football Medals with Dublin

Michael Fitzsimons, 2011 Senior

Mark Schutte, 2012 U21

Conor Mullally, 2012 Minor

The winning of these All Ireland medals in the blue jersey was great for the lads, their families and the club but nothing beats winning championship medals with, and for, your  club mates.   You can be certain they’ll be giving it all for the cause this weekend.  Will you?

We hope to see you all there when they do the business.
