The Cuala GAA community came together last weekend to raise funds for the Irish Cancer Society in memory of Joanne Wylde who was a beloved member of the club and who gave so much of her time and energy to Cuala over the years.
The campaign has smashed expectations and has raised just under €6,000 at time of writing.
Here’s a note of thanks from our Ladies Football Captain Caitríona Murphy:
We would like to say a massive thanks for all the support and generosity, we well surpassed the goal.
It was a great display of the cuala community coming together to support our members and is a true display of cuala being more than a club.
We hope it is a small comfort to the Wylde family to see such a significant amount raised for the Irish cancer society in memory of Joanne and a glimpse into how admired and respected she was within the club, she may be gone but she will never be forgotten.
There is an option to comment on the fundraiser and all comments left will be collated and shared with Joanne’s family so if anyone would like to leave fond memories of Joanne we encourage it.
