It was another busy weekend for the girls from Cuala with mixed fortunes for all our teams.  Our under 11s (2001) girls fielded two teams away to Clontarf in St Annes Park on Saturday. Both teams performed excellently. The player numbers were very good and plenty of parents travelled to support the girls. There were strong performances
from many players on both Cuala teams.

Meanwhile the under 12s had a very busy weekend  They traveled to Clondalkin on Saturday for a Camogie Blitz where they had a narrow win against Round Towers and a narrow loss against Oliver Plunkets. On Sunday the girls played St Margarets in football; after a tight enough first half, the girls pulled away in the second half to win by 5:6 to
1:7.  Well done to the 2001s.

The under 13s continued their winning ways in Camogie with a significant win over Lucan in Meadowvale.  This team now sit at the top of the league table with three wins out of three.  They were not so fortunate on Saturday when they were beaten by a strong Naomh
Barrog side in football.

The U14’s played camogie away to St. Oliver Plunket’s Eoghan Ruadh, and football at home in Meadowvale to Castleknock.  The girls had two great games using all the skills and techniques which they have developed over the Winter training.  The games were tightly fought and at half time in both games there wasn’t much in it.  The last ten minutes saw the opposing teams pull ahead as unfortunately the girls were down players in both codes this weekend.

There are no games for the girls this weekend so they are enjoying a well earned break from their football boots and instead will be putting on their dancing shoes to support the Caula Ceile on St. Patrick’s night.
