Castleknock 1-07 Cuala 0-17

Under the excellent stewardship of Enda McGowan and his backroom team the Cuala Junior 1 footballers registered a fine win away in Castleknock last night. Cuala got off to the worst possible start when a long high ball deceived our fullback line and after 15 seconds ‘knock had the ball in the net. But Cuala were determined to win this game, powered on by a forceful half backline of the 2 Brocks and Luke Treacy Cuala got back into the game. Scores from Dan Keating and Paul James meant the sides were level at the halftime break.

The game continued much in the same vein in the second half , Cuala playing well and Castleknock doggedly staying in the game , but with 10 minutes left on the clock , Cuala’s class began to show , point from Cathal O’Giollain ( who was superb on the night ) , Eoin Sheanan, Dan Keating  and Harry’s diner finest Cillian O’Sullivan saw Cuala run out comfortable winners in the end.

So well done to Enda and the lads on an excellent performance.
