The Cuala Senior 2 hurling team entertained a large crowd in their senior B Championship playoff game against Ballyboden in Bray last Sunday.

Both teams led at different times during the encounter showing flashes of brilliance throughout on what was a lovely morning for hurling.

The only goal of the match came from a Jack Twomey special shot that rattled the crossbar before being pounced on by Conal O Toole who finished to the back of the Boden net putting Cuala 3 up with six minutes to go.

To Boden’s credit, they stuck to their task and equalised from long range to end the match in a draw.

Next up is away to Clontarf on Sunday 30th where a victory could see Cuala earning a place in the newly formatted ten team Senior 2 hurling Championship for 2022.

All support will be greatly appreciated and a cracking game of hurling is guaranteed.
