Cuala second half blows away Synger

Dolhin park 2013 > Istanbul 2005 > Tyrone comeback v Derry in 95, that was the feeling as the Cuala faithful returned to Dalkey last night. An amazing second half fight back from our senior footballers saw them edge out table topping TSS to earn 2 vital league points. Playing with the wind Cuala were confident of building up a first half lead but Templeogue were playing some nice football and quickly gained control. Cuala seemed unable to handle the favorable wind and hit wide after wide, whilst TSS were the epitome of economy and the other end and built up a strong lead.

Halftime Score : TSS 1-11 Cuala 0-04.

The next30 minutes will be remembered fondly by Cuala fowk who were there. Down by 10 points and facing an ever strengthening breeze all looked lost, but motivated by some stern words form Pat and Maurice Cuala took complete control. Darbo pinged over a few 45?s , Cobsy sniped a goal and Luke K was directing the forwards, Cuala were right back in the game. TSS looked shell shocked, the Cuala backs were all now on top and a sweeping move down the pitch lead to John Sheanan rattling home a goal to put Cuala a point up. Finally TSS woke up and replied with 2 quick points, and the comeback of the decade seemed doomed. But again Cuala rallied and points from Cobsy and sub Dylan Kennedy put Cuala 2 up. The final whistle blew and Cuala had completed one of the most amazing turn arounds, winning the 2nd half 2-08 to 0-02.  Well done to Pat Dolphin and all the lads.
