The weather was good last week but the hurling was arguably better, at least if you are from Cuala. Starting last Monday our AHL8 entertained Wild Geese and came away with a good win while on Thursday they travelled out to St.Peregrines and once again came away with a win. Meanwhile our AHL5 team played Ballinteer on Tuesday last  in Shankill and won 3-19 to 0-12.

On Saturday, our Seniors played Naomh Fionnbarra on home turf.  Missing our county players and several holidaymakers – the Cuala team featured a few senior debutants who did not look one bit out of place. In a good competitive game, Sean Treacy operating at full-forward, did the damage getting 2 crucial goals with Brian ‘Breezer’ Fitzgerald knocking in a third to seal the victory 3-13  to 1-12. Lastly,  the AHL5 played a clearly depleted Raheny side yesterday and came away with a good win.

1 week, 5 games, 5 wins. Thanks to huge efforts from all players, mentors and supporters.
