A chairde Cuala,

Feile na nGael is a national U14 club competition which sees county champions in Hurling, Camogie and Handball converge on a host county for 3 days of competition and sporting camaraderie.  It is long-recognised as a major festival of great importance for the promotion of our games among the youth of the country.  For the first time in over 30 years,  Dublin has been awarded the privilege of hosting the hurling and camogie cometitions from Thur 5th July to Sat 7th July.

In keeping with tradition, each Dublin club will host teams – the visiting players staying in the homes of their hosts. Cuala is delighted to play its part both by facilitating group competitions and by hosting players from these great clubs

Thur  July 5th

  • Group competitions in Hyde Road
  • Grand parade of over 3,000 young players from Croke Park to GPO in O’Connell Street

Fri Jul 6th

  • Group competitions in Thomastown
  • BBQ and social event at Hyde Park for all of our players and families and our 3 guest teams.
    Everyone welcome.

Sat July 7th

  • Finals played in Croke Park and Parnell Park

I am appealing to each and every Cuala member, young and not so young,  to make some contribution to the National Féile – from helping with hosting or catering, to supporting our teams in Hyde Park (Thurs) and Thomastown (Fri) or even simply joining the Friday night social activities. We need help both on Thursday and Friday during the day and evenings. There will be a variety of jobs including setting up pitches and officiating, traffic management, catering, registration etc.  If you can give an hour on either day, please e-mail CualaHelpers@gmail.com with your contact details and times available.

Mise le meas,

Peadar McAdam
