Cuala has always been very open and welcoming in integrating people with additional needs into our club and we commend our coaches for their successful work to date. We are now embarking formally to fully integrate children with disabilities into our club by up-skilling and empowering our coaches/mentors through Disability Awareness Training. The inclusion of children with disabilities will be done through mainstream integration and by setting up separate groups where deemed necessary for children who may not be able to join in the mainstream groups.

These groups are open to ALL children regardless of their level of intellectual or physical disability. We envisage there being one-to-one support for children with more severe/profound disabilities where required and activities will be tailored to ensure that all children have a fun and active GAA experience whilst becoming a valued member of Cuala.

There is a CARA-certified “Cual-A-bility Training course being held on Sat. Nov 18 in Ballyogan Community Centre (Updated venue!) from 10:00 – 4:00 pm. If you are involved with any section/team in Cuala and would like to attend this course please contact your Section Chairperson for further details. Places are very limited for this course.
