The ref has blown full time on #CualaWall2Ball. Superb performance by all U15 players and families, who didn’t just beat their targets but shattered them.

160,281 hits were achieved and more importantly €11,835 has been donated to Trócaire.

The fundraising platform is still open for any late donations.

Well done to all of the U15s Boys and Girls as well as their families, who put in a fantastic effort on St Patrick’s Day, kicking and striking footballs and sliotars all over the Cuala parish.

The O’Drisceoil family (plus dog) must have been blessed with a lot of accuracy to avoid injury in their garden effort and similar contributions can be found across the Cuala social media channels.

Great fun and at the same time raising funds for Trócaire, that will help save lives.

Caoimhe de Barra, CEO of Trócaire and fellow Cuala club member sent a lovely note of thanks.

Robert,

I would like to express my deepest thanks, on behalf of Trócaire, to the 06 Boys and Girls for their participation in the #CualaBalltoWall challenge.

The challenge has raised over €11,000. This will have a positive impact on the lives of hundreds, if not thousands, of families in countries like Somalia and South Sudan that are affected by conflict and climate change.

In South Sudan, €1000 can enable us to reconstruct a well and provide clean, safe water to a whole community. In Somalia we can keep a child in school, in a safe learning environment where they get a healthy meal every day, for just €20 a month per child.

The €11,000 raised by Cuala 06 boys and girls will change the lives of so many people. We in Trócaire are deeply grateful to all the boys, girls, mentors, parents, celebrity supporters and Cuala stars who supported this excellent initiative.

Go raibh mile maith agaibh.

Cuala abú
