AWARDS

A NIGHT OF 1,000 STARS

Only a handful of tickets are left for the first big Cuala Awards night in more than two years. It takes place this Saturday night, April 30th at the Purty Kitchen in Dun Laoghaire with doors at 7 PM.

We will honour Champions from 2020 and 2021 and the Players of the Year from all our adult and Minor Camogie and Football Teams.

There will be one hour of awards, two hours of live music and two years of socialising to catch up on into the early hours.

They are free, thanks to our great sponsors AMGEN, but you need to have them booked.

It promises to be a night to remember.

FÉILE WEEKEND

FOOTBALL FÉILE CHAMPIONS OF DUBLIN

Congratulations to our U15 girls who became D4 Féile Champions of Dublin last weekend with a series of strong wins in the group stage and a Final victory on Saturday against Round Towers at St Finians.

Hard luck to the U15 Boys A and B teams who lost their finals despite tremendous performances on the same day.

FÉILE WEEKEND

HURLING AND CAMOGIE FÉILE THIS WEEKEND

Best of luck to our U15 Boys and Girls in Féile action again this weekend.

The Camógs A team is out in St Finians swords with the first match at 10.45. The B team is in Thomas Davis with their first match throwing in at 10 am.

On Sunday morning the Boy’s C Hurling Team is in action in the D7 Féile Shield Final against Erin Go Bragh at Hunters Run Park.

How they goit there in their semi-final on Tuesday is recounted here…

Final score: Cuala 5-7 5-5 Erins Isle. Breath-taking stuff throughout! Swings in momentum, back and forth… Massive test of determination and character passed with flying colours by the red and white! ?

CUALA IN ACTION

THIS WEEK GAMES TO LOOK OUT FOR

It’s a rest weekend for most of our adult teams this weekend.

The U17 and U19 boys and men’s Footballers are mostly away in League action though if you want to catch a game the U17 Men’s Footballers are home to St Pats of Donabate in Shanganagh with a 1-30 Throw in on Sunday.

CUALA BOYS AND GIRLS IN BLUE

Cuala has six girls in the 30 that will travel with Dublin Ladies to open the Leinster Senior Championship tomorrow against Westmeath in Mullingar.

Best of luck to Gráinne, Jennifer, Jess, Martha, Rachel and Sinéad.

Then at 6-30 on Sky TV from Wexford Con O’Callaghan and Michael Fitzsimons are expected to line out for the Boys in Blue

And on Sunday at 3 PM Sean Brennan retains his place in Goals for the Dublin Hurlers after last weekend’s brilliant penalty save and Cian O’Callaghan also lines out in the starting 15.  We’d imagine that Jake Malone and Mark Schutte will be ready again to spring from the bench if needed against Westmeath.

And finally on Monday best of luck to our Conall O’Toole and the rest of the U20 Dublin hurlers in their Leinster Semi Final against Wexford, Live on TG4 at 2 PM.

Hard luck to David O’Dowd and Peter Duffy who played for Dublin in the Leinster U20 Final on Thursday night narrowly losing out to Kildare.

THE CUALA ACADEMY WALK IS BACK

After a two year hiatus, the Cuala Academy Annual Sponsored Walk will take place this year in Killiney Hill Park on Saturday 14th and 21st May 2022.

Every year this event raises funds for equipment, pitch hire, training initiatives etc and is hugely important for the Academy.

This year 0 per cent of the funds raised will be donated to Cuala’s Fáilte Initiative, welcoming Ukrainian and other refugees to the club and the local area by providing them with everything they need to play with Cuala and otherwise integrate into our community.

Corporate sponsorship opportunities are now available and are a great way to support the club and advertise your business to the hundreds of families who will be getting the kids’ sponsorship cards into their homes.

If you are interested in supporting us please contact cuala2015c@gmail.com by 3rd May.

We really hope that we can bring the Sponsored Walk back with a bang.
