Hello Cuala Patrons
Great celebrations for St. Patricks day and a great Ceilí. Well done to all the organisers and helpers for another great event. Short newsletter for you this week:
- Thanks to all the U14 and U16 hurling mentors, mammys and helpers who made the visit of O’Donovan Rossas from Belfast such a pleasure on St.Patricks Day. Two good games of hurling followed by some great Cuala hospitality. Special thanks to the ‘catering’ staff of Kevina Malone, Jane Treacy, Hilary Thompson, Trish MacMahon, Joanne Wilde, and all those who baked and helped out.
- 6 Cuala players (Cian O’Callaghan,Colm Cronin,Ros Tierney,Ben Errity,Sean Treacy and Jack Behan) were involved in last Sunday’s challenge against Kilkenny minor hurlers. A narrow defeat by 3 points was Dublin’s lot but a good day for the club to have so many players involved at a very high level.
- Coaching Department are holding a Hurling workshop on “Key to Successful Tackling” tomorrow night Friday 23rd March from 7.30 to 9.30 in Cuala. Well worth attending for all Hurling Coach’s.
- Senior Hurler play Faughs in the League on Sunday at 11:00 in Shankill. All support welcome.
- There will a Cuala Comedy Night on 5th April in the Hall. Features John Colleary(Savage Eye) and Bernard O’Shea and Pat Murray from Republic of Telly. Should be a (better be!) a laugh.
All for this week,
Tadhg Murphy
