Firstly we wish both Oisin Gough and Michael Fitzsimons the very best of luck this weekend as they both chase All-Ireland Championship medals. Oisin lines out with the Dublin U21 hurlers in O’Connor Park Tullamore on Saturday night (6pm) when they meet Galway while Michael will line out in Croker on Sunday with the senior footballers. Also would like to wish David Treacy a speedy recovery from a knee injury he recently incurred.

Coaching department have been busy over the summer and some exciting workshops are upcoming. On Wednesday Septermber 1 , in association with Lucozade Sport, A Circuit Training and Conditioning Workshop will be held in Cuala. This exciting and relevant course is presented by Coaching Ireland and The Irish Sports council and is aimed at teams from under 16 Up to Adult. The Course covers the following components,CIRCUIT Training, DEVELOPMENT OF STRENGTH,Variations and Instruction.The Course will be run on one night only at 19:30 and there is a nominal fee of €10 per head The first instalment of the Level1 Child course will be held on Thursday 26 August and will be followed by other installments each week for 6 weeks. This course is a must for those coaching in the Juvenile section.

Junior hurlers have been going well over the summer and Junior A’s are in Championship action against Kilmacud on Sunday morning in Shankill while the Junior Bs play St.Vincents – throw-in 10:30 for both so all support welcome.

Senior hurlers play Ballyboden in Pairc Ui Murcu in League on Sunday same time.
