Well whatever you say about Gaelic games you cannot fault the passion, excitement and the sheer entertainment it brings – epitomised by last Sunday’s Game. Hard luck to the Dubs and good luck to the Rebels, lets hope next Sunday’s encounter will we just as entertaining. Lots of news so here we go:
Academy Enrolment is taking place on Saturday 4th September in Cuala GAA, Dalkey from 9.30 to 11.30.

The Juvenile girls are slowly settling back into training with a busy schedule of championship matches ahead. Before that however the U14s (96s) welcome Ardoyne Kickhams to Hyde Park this Saturday following the Cuala girls very successful trip to Belfast in May. A camogie and football match will be followed by a sightseeing coach trip around Dublin for both teams. The U12s, U13s and U14s also all have important league play-off games next week with league winners or runners-up spots up for grabs. Finally, with the new season just starting back, if you know of any girls out there who might be interested in trying camogie or football please encourage them to come down for a look – details of contacts for the various age group are on the website.

The 2000 boys (under 10s) are hosting St Martins of Drumree Co Meath and Bray Emmets in a hurling blitz at Hyde Park on Saturday afternoon, throw-in at 2pm. The U12 A Hurlers will host a Leinster blitz at Thomastown on Saturday, welcoming teams from Laois, Kilkenny and Ballyboden. Good luck to them and to the other groups taking part in blitzes at Kevins HC.Full training will resume for all Juvenile Boys groups next week. Please note that with the closure of the pitches at Clonkeen College, all U11 and U12 training and matches will now switch to Shanganagh Park, Shankhill.

Good luck to them!Junior D football (3rd team) championship round 3 game v St. maurs on Sunday next in Hyde Pk. This team have just won the Div 10 South league and are heading for a league and championship double. All support welcome.

4th team (Junior 11) comleted their league on Wednesday night with a narrow 4 pt defeat to Crokes on a 3-10 to 2-9 scoreline. The team finished in 4th place and only narrowly missed out on promotion to Div 10. A special word of thanks to the Minors who regularly turned out this year especially Donal Ennis, Tadhg Blake, Olan Coyle Colie Brock Owen Collopy Barry Sheanon and Shane Errity.

Intermediate and Junior football championship on Sunday morning next.Our Intermediate footballers play Lucan Sarsfields at 10.30am in O’Toole park , whilst at the same time in Dalkey our Junior footballers play St Maurs in Dalkey. All support welcome.
