Well done to all who organised the Awards night on Saturday night last. Congratulations to all the winners – I think everyone had a good night.
Congratulations to the U12 B hurlers who added to a great year for the 1998’s by securing the Division 3 title last weekend. The lads were training for a play off when word came through of defeats for Crumlin and Setanta that left them clear at the summit.
Thanks to Gerard Lee Motors who are providing sponsorship to the club. Ger who looks after the 2001 boys, gives over 5 per cent of service charges from Cuala members, so if your Lambo/jalopy is in need of a check up, Ger’s your man.
The U15 B’s hurlers had a great win away last Sunday to St. Peregrines last Sunday and as a result they have finished second in their league ensuring promotion to div. 3 next year. In bright sunshine our boys were outstanding and were on top throughout the game. After a poor start, the backs really tightened up with Luc O’Giollain and the Bass twins having great games, while Sean O’Dulaing bossed the midfield. Up front, Gavin Nolan was in flying form and cracked 4 goals. Well done lads and mentors Brendan Stanley, Patsy Green and Aonghus Moloney.
We would ask patrons to be courteous to groups using the hall when there is a training session or other event on there. It can be very distracting if people are traipsing across the hall as a shortcut to the bar/gym/committe room. Please use the bar entrance. Thanks.
Best of luck to the young Cuala musicians under the Baton of Michael Ó Grálaigh (13s manager)who compete in the Dublin finals of Scór na nÓg.
The Junior Hurlers are in the League Final on Sunday against Naomh Barrog, Sunday 21st at 2:15pm in Shankill. All support welcome.
Patrons are reminded that the Club AGm will be held on Thursday 2nd December in the Hall at 7:30pm.
