U14’s Hurlers did us proud last Sunday with a great win over Faughs in the Championship final. It was a great display all round with special mentions for Cillian Sullivan, Lorcan Whelan, Niall O’Dowd and Luke Treacy who was named man of the match. Management team of Paul Sullivan and Paul Whelan have done a great job with these players.

Well done too to the two Cuala Minor Hurling teams last Sunday. The A’s had a heartbreaker, beaten by a last-minute point from a 65 by Na Fianna while the ‘B’s (who had to take the field immediately afterwards) beat Naomh Mearnog by 2 points in a cracker. Good pictures in the Herald on Tuesday and even better ones on the website (good job Michael Goodwin). A magnificent achievement from players and management.

The Cuala 2000 boys took part in a Mini Football Blitz in Marlay Park on Saturday morning last involving teams from Cuala,Ballinteer and Bray Emmets. 66 Cuala players took part and each team played 4 matches. The football standard was excellent and Cuala boys acquitted themselves very well and most importantly, the morning was enjoyed by players and mentors alike. Thanks to all those who helped out.

The Intermediate Footballers kept up the chase for the Divisional title with a hard-earned draw against Naomh Mearnog in Hyde Park on Sunday last. Led by Dublin midfield star Shane Ryan, Mearnog had to come from behind to scrape a draw with virtually the last kick of the game.
