Top billing to the Junior footballers who beat St.Vincent in O’Toole Park on Saturday last by 1 point. Check out the website for the full match report and pictures. Well done lads – a great achievement.

And just to show we publish the defeats as well as the victories – bad weekend last week for the Cuala Girls with losses in all 4 Championship matches. On Saturday there was a heartbreak for the U12 Camogie team, who unluckily lost their sem-final to a last minute point by Erin Go Bragh in extra time. U10 footballers bowed out of the championship when losing to a very strong O’Tooles side later the same day. Things went from bad to worse on Sunday, with both U12 Football teams beaten by St. Maurs and Ballyboden despite good performances. All 3 football team have a good chance of progressing in the football Shield competitions however.

Football shield competition to commence weekend of 18th October. Final U11 Camogie league game of the season this Saturday against Kilmacud Crokes in Meadowvale 10:30am.

On better news, the U13A Hurlers had a fine win over St. Vincents last Saturday in the semi-final of the Hurling Championship. In a keenly contested match, both sides served up a fine display of stickwork, with the Cuala boys winning by a narrow 4 points. Cuala now play Kilmacud Crokes in the County A Championship final this Saturday. The county finalists are Sean Gibney, Conor O’sullivan, Kevin Killian, Sean Drummond, Jack Behan, Cian Byrne, Sean O’Braonain, Andrew Murphy, Colm O’Luing, Kyle Brain, Sean Treacy, Killian Sheanon, Gavin Nolan, Sean Dowling, Luc O’Giollain, Eoin O’Dormain and Liam Bermingham – with a little help from Jake Malone. THanks to great support who travelled to the match, much appreciated. Well done all.

Well done also to the U13Bs who are in the Shield final after a good win over Naomh Fionnbarra.
