Some great results for the juvenile girls last weekend with wins in the camogie championship for the 96s and 97s while it was a double succcess for the 98s with wins in both the camogie and football championship.

The camogie championship continues this weekend with games for the 96s, 97s and 98s while the 99s and 00’s are also in camogie league action Sunday.

There are no football games this weekend with Dublin playing in the All Ireland Ladies football final. Last year over 120 Cuala girls travelled in to support the Dubs and this year we hope to top that with the Cuala Gaelic 4 Mothers team representing Dublin against a team from Tyrone at half time in the senior game. A bus departs Hyde Park at 2.00pm. Cuala’s G4M participation in the final is being followed by the RTE Capital D programme.

Well done to Cuala Ladies U16s who had a great win 6-11 to 2-3 over Thomas Davis in their Championship last Sunday and best wishes to Cuala Ladies Adult team who are playing in the All Ireland 7s next Saturday. Among their opponents is Tony Bass’s Europe team

Well done to the U15A footballers on beating Sylvesters in the Championship last Sunday they are away to Vincents in the Semi Final on Sunday week. The B’s went down to Vincents B’s in their Championship.

This weekend it’s Hurling championship action for the U15’s as the U15A Hurlers take on Kilmacud Crokes, in Shankill on Sunday morning at 11:30, while at the same time in Thomastown the B’s will be taking on Faughs all support welcome at both venues!

Well done to the Cuala minor footballers who had a hard fought win over Naomh Barrog in the championship last Sunday.Another win against St Pats Palmerstown on Sunday week will see them progress to the semi finals.

Big game for our Intermediate championship footballers against Ballyboughal this Saturday in O’Toole park 4pm. All support very welcome.

The Cuala Family Fun Day is on Sunday 3rd October 2010, Sunday week in Cuala the Club grounds in Dalkey from 1pm to 6pm. This is one of the major fundraising events the Club organises each year and, as usual, we need your help! We need large amounts of the following for sale on the day, so check the attic and the playrooms: Playstation and X-Box games and working consolesCDs and DVDsSports Gear – tracksuits, fleeces, boots, jerseys, nicks, etcUnwanted gifts, cosmeticsBooksToys in good condition Bottles for bottle stallHousehold items in good conditionCakes or breadsBicycles, skateboards, scootersNo rubbish or broken items please. It costs us to dispose of unwanted items. We need you to drop down any of these items to the Caretakers or Office 9.30 to 12.30am, the Cuala Shop on Saturday mornings 9.30am to 11.00am or to the Bar any evening from 8pm. If you can bring down cakes, bread, bottles of spirits for the bottle stall, DVD film/games on the day that would be great! And , we also, of course, need your participation in the event by bringing the whole family and friends down to support it and by managing or helping on one of the stalls! We obviously need your support to make the day a success.
