Hello Cuala Patrons,

Exam-time for the students , no exam weather yet  but inter-county championship action starting to warm up though :

  • U16 Footballers in Championship Final against Craobh Ciarán at Blakestown Road on Saturday at 12:30pm.  If you can’t make it out to support this great bunch who have been together as a team for 11 years, then watch out for the result on social media and give them a cheer from wherever you are.
  • A number of our All Ireland Winners and inter county stars will be at Hyde Road with the Academy on Saturday morning and filming a short video promo for the Mini All Ireland and the Summer Camps.  Wave if you are passing.
  • Well done to the U14B Hurlers who narrowly lost out to St. Vincents in the Feile Div 6 final in Parnell Park on Sunday. Having come through their group unbeaten at Erin go Bragh and then a highly impressive semi-final win at Trinity Gaels, the lads were desperately unlucky to lose out by a single point in the final. Meanwhile in Feile Hurling Division 1, Cuala, Ballyboden and Lucan all finished their ‘group of death’ on 2 points with Cuala’s U14As unlucky to bow out on score difference.
  • Congrats to all of our Feile players this year, boys and girls, on some fine performances and great excitement. The mentors and players of the 2000s groups would like to thank everyone in the club for their fantastic support over the last few weeks.
  • Great win for the minor hurlers in Division 1 League against neighbours Crokes. Down 7 points at half-time, the boys pulled it back and then pushed ahead to win by 3. As seems to be the way with leagues, the team could finish top or 4th depending on the result of the last game. Sterling performance from Dara Twomey, Jack Lahart and Eoghan O’Naoire who ended up with 1-6.
  • Junior As are in League action on Sunday next at 11:00 versus Ballinteer St Johns if you are looking for a game to go to.
  • While the numbers on our adult camogie panel are steadily increasing we would still like a few more. Training is on Tuesday evenings in Meadowvale from 7.30pm to 8.45pm. If you or anyone you know might be interested please contact Fintan Quill (086-8197352).

All for this week
