Hello Cuala Patrons

Apologies for late CWN  this week as we awaited publication of AGM nominations and motions. Couple of key games and events yet to play this year :

  • Some big Cuala football games coming up this weekend:
    • Our Senior Footballers are in B Championship semi final action at Oliver Plunketts (the Brogan Brothers!!) next Sunday at 1:15pm in Martin Savage Park, Cabra.
    • It could be a minor double as the Minor B footballers are playing in the Championship Final against St.Vincents in Kiltipper Rd at 11am.Good luck to mentors Patsy Greene, Declan Schutte and all the lads.
    • The Junior footballers are playing a crucial league AFL6 play-off game vs St.Sylvesters at 11am in Malahide.
  • Hard luck to our Minor B Hurlers who lost their Championship Semi Final to Na Fianna on Sunday morning. It was a tough day out but the lads gave it their best shot in a game with a high level of skill.
  • Congratulations to the Cuala Minor Camogie team on winning the C Championship Shield last Sunday with a hard won victory over Naomh Fionnbarra by 6-7 to 3-4 in the final.  It was the team’s 28th game of 2013 and a great way to round off a very long and successful year having come runners up in the Minor Development League and being beaten finalists in the Minor Development Cup earlier in the season.  Well done and thanks to all involved in Cuala’s first ever minor camogie season
  • O.k Film buffs this one is for you. The 2000s are hosting a Cuala Cinema Night as a Féile Fundraiser on Saturday 14th December in the Cuala Hall in Hyde Road: €7 Entry. • The club AGM takes place on Thursday 5th Dec at 7:30pm. The Agenda and details of Motions and Nominations are available on the website here – https://cualagaa.ie/2013/11/agm-2013-clar/ Please read carefully and come along if you are a member. We do want participation and involvement as its that volunteer spirit that keeps it all going.
  • Because next Thursday is the AGM – there will no Newsletter next week and the final Newsletter of the year will be on 12th December. If there are is any budding journalistic talent out there (or just opinionated hacks like myself) – please let me know as we would love to have additional writers of the CWN.
