BUILDING A FUTURE IN ZAMBIA
We could not be more proud of the Cuala crew of young players and parents that travelled to NSobe this summer to help build school accomodation for local children.
It was an experience of a lifetime and we were able to share a short video of them hard at work on our social media channels this week.
You can take a look by clicking below.

GAA ALL IRELAND CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH TICKETS
In the past Clubs in Dublin and around the country would have received some physical tickets for very big matches, particularly an All -Ireland Final.
Generally, tickets have been distributed through the clubs with none or very few going on general sale.
In Cuala we have managed the distribution of what we have received in a very open and fair way. We will continue to do so should tickets come to the Club if Dublin get to an All-Ireland Final later this month.
In the last while the GAA has moved everything online or else sells tickets through various retail outlets (e.g. SuperValu).
That move to online has also included Clubs where all the admin goes onto a Club and that work on to a small number of volunteers – Secretary, Registrar, and Treasurer.
For the recent Dublin Clare Hurling, we were left with tickets that a member had ordered but then did not collect or pay for.
The online model they use is evolving. The GAA took one approach with Clubs for the recent Dublin vs Clare All-Ireland Hurling Quarter Final and another for the Football Quarter and Semi for Dublin.
We will communicate with Members again on tickets should Dublin get past Monaghan and once we have clear direction from the GAA.

MAKING SURE OF YOUR MEMBERSHIP STATUS
With Championship upon us, it is important to remember that all players who wish to participate in this year’s Hurling, Camogie, or Football championships must be fully registered with the club.
There will be random spot checks and if your membership is not up to date it could have serious consequences for your team and the club.
Similarly, access to the new gym facilities will only be to full registered members.
Just in case it fell through the cracks, now is the time to make sure.

STRATEGIC PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE
An Coiste Cuala is currently preparing a major piece of work updating the club’s strategic plan. It is important to plan for where we are going and how we will continue to serve the needs of our present and future members as well as remaining an important part of the local community.
Thanks to those who have responded to the email that went out to all registered members during the week. We will be in touch over the coming weeks to integrate your offers of playing a part into the work plan for this important look to the future of the club.
We are focusing on four pillars, with the Club Coiste Leads in each in brackets
Management and Governance (Breda Kennedy and Ciaran McAlarey)
Club Infrastructure (Jonny Lahert, Kevin Nolan and Michael Hogan)
Coaching and Games (Deirdre Ní Fhloinn and Adrian Dunne)
Communication (Rob Hartnett and Angi Crispe)
CUALA IN BLUE
