Brilliant win for the Senior Ladies Football team last night as they beat Parnells by 6-08 to 1-07 at a sodden Hyde Park.
Brian, Dave and Magnus had managed to whiten the lines after the afternoon downpour but the pitch was in good condition when the players took to the field shortly after 7.
It was a tight first half with the teams separated by 1-02 to 0-03 at the break but a fortunate high bounce over the Parnells keeper from a Jennifer Dunne free set up a rapid trio of goals that effectively put the tie away early in the second half.
This means the team has qualified for the third year in a row for the Dublin Intermediate County Final.
This will take place at Fingallians GAA Club on Wednesday, August 26th but with the current restrictions in place, the team will have to win it without the strong support that would have been expected.
We will make sure to have a social media presence and you’ll be able to ‘watch’ on twitter as we take on Castleknock.
