Nearly there now – everything is in place for a special day out next Sunday.
Don’t forget , as an alternative to gathering sponsorship, hikers who want to come along on the day and make a direct donation will be very welcome. And if you can’t join us in Glendalough in person, you can always make a donation directly to Kevin Spain.
And we now bring you greetings from Chairperson of Concern, Frances O Keefe,
To all the Cuala Hikers
Cuala’s Kevin Spain and I worked together in Somalia in 1992 and I had the privilege of returning there again last summer. Again the devastation from the first declared famine of this century was evident all around us. So I want to wish the Cuala Hikers a fun-filled day and thank you on behalf of Concern and to assure you that your efforts are really appreciated by the people in Somalia.
Francis O Keefe
Chairperson Concern
