Notice of the following Motions has been received by me with regard to the forthcoming AGM, to be held in Fitzpatrick’s Killiney Castle Hotel on Wed 2 Dec 2015 at 7:30 p.m.
That, in recognition of Cuala’s ongoing commitment to the GAA Code of Best Practice in Youth Sport and following the deliberations and recommendation of the outgoing Coiste,
- that Joanne Wylde be appointed to the position of Children’s Officer with immediate effect and
- that she be co-opted to Coiste 2016.

Pending a desired Constitutional change taking effect (separate motion), this is to ensure the outgoing Coiste’s recommended candidate for Children’s Officer is ratified without delay and is given an immediate place at Coiste.
That Manus Brady & Co be appointed as Independent Auditor in respect of the Financial Accounts for the year 2016.

a) That the Club Constitution be amend; specifically, that Rules 2, 4.2, and 4.3 of Section D – which currently provide
“2. The Coiste shall be elected annually by the Registered Full Members present, entitled to vote and voting at the Annual General Meeting and nominations to serve on the Coiste shall be any two such Registered Full Members.”
“4.2. The Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Treasurer, Secretary and Registrar are Officers of the Club”
“4.3. The Coiste shall be comprised of five Officers (as set out in 4.2), SIX Games Representatives (one each for Adult, Ladies, Minors, Juvenile Girls, Juvenile Boys and Academy), one Players’ Representative, and no more than three Other Members”
be replaced with these alternative provisions (of which the key changes are highlighted in bold underline for illustration only) –
“2.1. With the exception of the Children’s Officer, the Coiste shall be elected annually by the Registered Full Members present, entitled to vote and voting at the Annual General Meeting and, nominations to serve on the Coiste shall be any two such Registered Full Members.
2.2. The Children’s Officer shall be appointed at the Annual General Meeting on the recommendation of the outgoing Coiste.”
“4.2. The Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Treasurer, Secretary, Registrar and Children’s Officer are Officers of the Club
4.3. The Coiste shall be comprised of six Officers (as set out in 4.2), six Games Representatives (one each for Adult, Ladies, Minors, Juvenile Girls, Juvenile Boys and Academy), one Players’ Representative and no more than two Other Members.”
b) And that any supporting regulations be updated; specifically, that Coiste updates and publishes the Club’s Standing Orders, Voting Guide and Decision Making Protocols.

Pending the finalisation of a new Constitution and its approval by Cuala Members and the Dublin County Board, this motion is to give formal effect to –
- the inclusion of the Cuala Children’s Officer as a full Officer of the Club,
- special arrangements for the nomination of Children’s Officer at future AGMs
This is consistent with the Official Guide of the GAA. And is unanimously supported by the outgoing Coiste.
The overall maximum size of Coiste will remain at 15.
If approved at the 2015 AGM, the revised rule will become operational in the run-up to AGM 2016.
That Rule 9.1, 9.2 and 9.5 be replaced with these amended rules – the significant changes & additions being show here in bold underline –

9.2. That any Annual Subscription may, by arrangement made before 1st Feb, be paid in up to three instalments payable between 1 Feb and 31 May.

9.5. Subscriptions paid by new Juvenile Members before 2 December shall be accepted at the 2015 rate and shall not be subject to any arrears.

Allow an additional month for instalments (now spread over 4 months Feb – May)
That Rule 9.6. be extended as follows – the significant changes & additions being show here in bold underline –
9.6.1. For every Annual Subscription received before 1 March, including instalment arrangements made under 9.2, a discount shall be applied such that the amount payable will be as set out in Column B
9.6.2. Payments made on or after 1 March will only be accommodated by means of the designated club on-line web payment facility.

9.7.1. The Rate for “Introductory Parent (Non Playing)” shall apply to first-time subscriptions from NEW Full (Adult) Members who are parents or guardians of Juvenile Members
9.7.2. The Introductory Parent (Non Playing) rate applies for two years following admission to the Club. “

Introduce two new Subscription types –
– Introductory Juvenile (€20 less that standard renewal & still up to 15 months)
– Introductory Parent €20 (meaning club revenue from Juvenile intake is unaffected)
This will encourage easier parental engagement as members and facilitate a new process to automatically enrol Parent(s) at the same time as a child and at the same overall cost and with no additional paperwork burden.
That Coiste initiate a loyalty system for ticket allocation for Dublin Matches
