The following Motions have been received for consideration at the forthcoming AGM to be held on 5 December 2013 –
Motion 1:
Amendments to By laws – Annual Rates of Subscription

That Bylaws 9.1 to 9.4. be amended thus-
“9.1.. Rates of Annual Subscription for all members in 2014 shall be –
Full (Adult) – Non-Playing | €120 |
Full (Adult) – Playing | €200 |
Full (Retired) – i.e. Over 65, Non Playing | €60 |
Full (Student) | €150 |
Introductory Adult | €70 |
Temporary (Social) | €60 |
Juvenile | €150 |
Family with 1 Player | €285 |
Family with 2 Player | €375 |
Family with 3 or more Players | €440 |
9.2. That a Family Subscription may, by arrangement made before 1st Mar 2014, be paid in up to three instalments payable between 1 Feb 2014 and 30 Apr 2014.
9.3. The implementation of any arrangement described in 9.2 shall be deemed to fulfil the requirement for Annual Subscriptions to be paid before 1 Mar 2014.
9.4. A proportion of the revenue from Annual Subscriptions shall be allocated to the Games Sections to defray legitimate team expenses. The amount of allocation shall be determined by An Coiste with reference to:
a) The 2013 section costs
b) The number of active players in the section
c) The timeliness of payment of Annual Subscriptions in each section.
AND that Annual Subscriptions paid through the Academy Games Section before 6 December 2013 shall be acceptable at the 2012 rate and not incur any arrears.

9.4. For every Annual Subscription properly received from its associated players, €65.00 (down €5 on 2013) shall be allocated to the relevant Games Section to defray legitimate team expenses
AND that Annual Subscriptions paid through the Academy Games Section before 6 December 2013 shall be acceptable at the 2012 rate and not incur any arrears.

Motion 4:
Appointment of Auditor

That Manus Brady & Co be appointed as Independent Auditor in respect of the Financial Accounts for the year 2014.
Motion 5:

That the incoming Coiste appoint a special Finance Committee under the Treasurer to apportion the necessary expenditure for the day to day running of Sections.
Motion 6:

That all communications with Dun Laoghaire County Council relating to Cuala and any of their facilities or grant applications should be dealt with via the Club Officers.
Motion 7:

That the following paragraph of the Constitution:
“4.3.1 The Coiste shall be comprised of FIVE Officers (as set out in 4.2), SIX Games Representatives (one each for Adult, Ladies, Minors, Juvenile Girls, Juvenile Boys and Academy), ONE Players’ Representative, and no more than THREE Other Members
4.3.2: From among the Games and Players Representatives and Other Members, the Coiste shall appoint an Assistant Secretary, an Assistant Treasurer and a PRO.”
Be replaced with
4.3.1 The Coiste shall be comprised of FIVE Officers (as set out in 4.2), ONE Players’ Representative, and no more than NINE Other Members
4.3.2 From among the Players Representatives and Other Members, the Coiste shall appoint an Assistant Secretary, an Assistant Treasurer and a PRO.
4.3.3 If an eligible Coiste member under Rule 4.3.2 is unavailable to serve as Assistant Secretary, Assistant Treasurer or as PRO, then Coiste may appoint any fully-paid up adult Member to serve in these roles and to attend Coiste meetings. Any Member so appointed under this sub-paragraph will not have voting rights

- That Coiste adopt a policy of devoting 20% of its overall time to focus exclusively on formally reviewing the activities of each of its Games Sections – in proportion to the number of players in each section
- That the officers of the relevant Games sections be invited to attend those meetings, or portions of meetings as guest.
- That the timing and scheduling of such reviews be arranged by An Runai in consultation with the relevant games officers who should be afforded a minimum of two weeks notice of the relevant meeting(s)
- That these arrangements be reflected in the Coiste decision making protocols

That An Coiste Cuala examine and report back to the club members by the 31st March 2014 on the feasibility of introducing and implementing a self-funding subvention scheme to support Cuala Members in the temporary advance bridging of medical expenses costs which ultimately are subject to refund under the terms of benefit off the GAA injury fund

That An Coiste create a loyalty scheme for the allocation of All-Ireland tickets based on the orders received by the club during that year.
Motion 12:
Distribution of tickets, allocated to Cuala GAA Club,

In the event of Dublin’s participation in an All Ireland Hurling or Football Final.
“The Manager and two Selectors of each of the Adult Teams in the code of a forthcoming All Ireland Championship Final, who are fully paid up members of Cuala GAA Club, be offered a ticket for the All Ireland Final in the event of Dublin’s participation.”

That each games section is tasked by An Coiste with raising a sum equivalent to €5 per registered player in that section, with the funds raised to be used to cover central club costs. The funds raised should be in addition to existing section fundraising activities and should be raised prior to the 30 June 2014.
