Hello Cuala Patrons
The weather has finally turned and did for the U15 Hurling County final last week. So the refix is this Sunday, 7th November  in Parnell Park at 12:30 p.m. A bus leaves Cuala at 11:30a.m cost €5 so arrive early to your seats:

  • Well done to Johnstown GNS on getting to Cumann na mBunscoil final.  The team features 3 Cuala girls and we send them best wishes for the final.
  • Cuala Under 10 (2000s) hurlers travelled to Drumree Co Meath on Saturday 30th for the annual Drumree U10 hurling tournament. The Cuala lads showed no ill effects after their regular Saturday morning football fixtures and beat Rathmoylan and Donaghmore/Ashbourne in their first matches.  This set up a ‘final’ against the also unbeaten hosts – having gone down by 2 goals early on, the Cuala lads showed grit and determination and no little skill to bounce back in the second half to win 5-2. So Cuala became the first Dublin club to win this competition – and a first trophy for this group. Although only some of the full 2000s group could play on the day, it was a victory for the group as a whole and hopefully the first of many good days out for the 2000s. Thanks to the Drumree club for their excellent organisation and hospitality.
  • Good luck to the Minors who are in the Championship Hurling Final V Faughs Sunday morning in Thomas Davis at 10.30, U21 hurlers start their title defence when they face St.Judes in Tymon park on Saturday at 2:45pm. Good luck to both.
  • U16 Girl’s finished off their season in style by winning the Division 2 Championship last Sunday.  They beat neighbours Foxrock – Cabinteely in the final by 4-08 to 2-07 in a fantastic all round team display.  Match report and photo’s on the website.  https://cualagaa.ie/ladies/ladies_u16.html This team is an amalgamation of the U14 and U15 girl’s teams from last year.   It is first time that they have won a major final having come runners up in either Championship or League competitions over the last 5 years and this added to the joy of finally bringing home some silverware.  The team also finished 2nd in their league so you could say that is was a successful season all round.  Well done to all 24 girls on the panel.
  • The senior footballers are playing Ballymore Eustace in quarter final of Leinster Intermediate Championship on Sunday at 2.30pm in Ballymore. All support is welcome for the lads , especially on the back of their fine performance in beating St Peregrines at the weekend to retain their senior league status.
