Well done to the Cuala 2000 girls who played in the Dublin Division 2 Camogie Feile last weekend.  Having lost out to a last minute goal in the Division 4 football final 2 weeks ago, the girls again lost out to the eventual winners of the competition, this time in the semi final.  Playing in the most difficult of conditions of driving rain, bitter cold, gusting winds and a heavy pitch the girls were unlucky to only draw their opening game 0-3 to 1-0 vs. Naomh Brid and to lose to another last minute goal against Naomh Mearnog by 1-1 to 2-1 in their second game. The result left the girls having to win their final game vs. Naomh Jude to stay in the competition.
True to form, the girls rose to the occasion putting in their best performance of the day to win by 2-4 to 0-1 setting themselves up for a play-off vs. Naomh Brid in a repeat of the opening game. Once again the girls showed real character and won by 2-1 to 0-0 to face hot favourites Raheny in the semi final. Having already played 4 games, 1 extra than Raheny, and with only a 15 minute break after the play-off game, the exertions of the day finally took their toll and the girls bowed out of the competition to the eventual winners, on a scoreline of 1-2 to 5-2. Despite the defeat it was still another great overall Feile performance from the Cuala 2000 girls, congratulations to all concerned.
