The day was Saturday 4th May and the venue was a warm (almost balmy!) Hyde Road.  The sun shone down on the Cuala U8s (Lions and Leopards) who played out some hotly contested Football Go Games against formidable opposition in Templeogue Synge Street.  The teams were evenly matched which provided a great incentive for all players to show off their developing skills.

The eager spectators provided plenty of vociferous encouragement and players responded by delivering to the sideline audience – slick handpassing, tenacious tackling (all within the rules of course), goal line saves and goals, point scoring from acute angles and the “odd” solo run !

Both sets of players played the games with great spirit and honest effort.

Despite it being a bank holiday weekend there was still a strong player turnout.

The two full Cuala team squads are:-

Lions:
Cillian Small, Charlie McMorrow, Niall Logan, Luan Moloney, Aidan Coveney, Lochlainn Sheehan, Patrick Egan, Lennon Gleich, Tom Chadwick, Stephen O’Raghallaigh, Kyle Delahunty

Leopards:
Adam O’Toole, Conor Lysaght, Ciaran Fitzgerald, Matt O’Sullivan, Jack McCarthy, Luke Power, Ben Macey, James Quinn, Eímhín MacGiolla-Phadraig, Mel Reynolds
