The Cuala Minors’ first win! Again this week, we were stuck for players but, thanks to Katie, from the
Under 15 team, and an injured Alanna, in goal, we were able to field a team!
Na Fianna had at least two very good players. Vanessa and Martha
worked really hard marking one of them.
Cuala had a marvelous first half with 2 goals from Sally and 13 points from Mary, Hannah, Shannon & Martha
to Na Fianna’s 1-3.
Na Fianna won the second half but Cuala’s first half
work paid off, allowing us to stay ahead all the time.
Grainne managed Elinor’s job as full back admirably while Elinor was very impressive as centre back.
Cuala Lady of the Match goes to Shauna who was everywhere on the pitch, making crucial blocks and providing
important support for her team.
We would like to comfortably field a team for our next match! If Katie had not
played up with us, we would have lost this match and the points.
